What shines and what doesn’t
Placement and view are superb. , Staff is nice and helpful. Restaurant has amazing view and changes menu every week! They also have an internal souvenir shop so you can avoid going somewhere else for souvenirs.
A fair few power outages throughout my stay. It was frustrating that a number of items ordered from the menu were not available—the wine list could also use major improvements.

We had an amazing time exploring the local area, especially our ride to the village of Unguja Ukuu, where the marine life was simply breathtaking. The 24-hour front desk staff spoke multiple languages, making it super easy for us to get around with our young kids in tow.
In my wife’s opinion, more shaded areas would really help families.

The stunning ocean views from my room were truly a highlight. Though the service wasn't always the quickest, especially at busy times, the staff remained friendly. Exploring the local area added great memories, but the noise from nearby events made it tough to relax at times.

The view from my Superior Double Room with Sea View was absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise. I loved the stunning ocean views while lounging on the terrace. The location right by the beach offered amazing opportunities for swimming and relaxing under the sun. Although the staff were genuinely nice, I ran into issues with the cleanliness of my room. Upon checking in, I found the bed sheets hadn’t been cleaned properly, with visible stains and hairs from previous guests. I requested fresh sheets, but it took quite a while for them to be replaced. The shower didn't have consistent hot water during my stay, which was frustrating. I stayed two nights, and I really missed the option of a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool and have some snacks on hand. Breakfast was decent, but it would have been great to have better coffee options instead of instant. Despite these few setbacks, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the beautiful views, but there were definitely maintenance issues needing attention.

Beautiful view but disappointing service
So we stayed for 2 nights in a nice room with a sea view. The view was stunning! The breakfast offered some decent options but could really use better quality coffee. The vibe was off though. staff seemed overwhelmed and not super helpful. No fridge in the room was kind of a letdown. Overall, not the best experience.

Views from the Suite Sea View are stunning. Live music is fun, but it gets really loud and goes until 4 am. Trying out snorkeling nearby was a highlight. Some staff seemed slow in responding to requests.

This was just an appropriate option for a weekend excursion in Jambiani with great value for money. The homemade bread rolls and fresh juices at breakfast were a nice touch. If you want a quieter stay, check ahead for any parties on the weekend.

missingWrote a review on Mar 25lack amenities
Finding the place can be a hassle due to lack of signage, which set the tone for our stay. The room felt basic, lacking essential amenities like a fridge or a proper coffee/tea setup, and the linens didn't meet expectations considering the price. Additionally, the bathroom situation was frustrating with no proper division to keep the space dry, and the shower area ended up messy without a curtain or mat. Finding the local area cash only was also inconvenient, especially since no ATMs were nearby.

I stayed in a Double Room with Sea View for 3 nights. The view of the ocean was really fantastic, and it felt like a great getaway. The room had some issues though, like a leaking AC and some dark vibes, but it was still cozy enough to relax. The ceiling fan was a bit sketchy too, hanging from a wire, which was concerning. Overall, it had its charm with that ocean view, but definitely room for improvement.
